GINNIE CHADWYCK-HEALEY

This week we are celebrating the launch of our limited-edition Beulah x VCH summer capsule collection, an exciting collaboration between Beulah London & fashion consultant, VCH & The FairGround founder Ginnie Chadwyck-Healey. A celebration of effortless summer style, the collection features four carefully curated styles, each available in a distinctive range of soft pastels reminiscent of Neapolitan ice cream colours—delicate pinks, gentle blues, and toffee browns. Every piece embodies Beulah’s commitment to ethical fashion and is crafted with sustainable practices at the forefront.

We sat down with Ginnie ahead of the launch to talk about the inspiration behind the collection, why she chose to collaborate with Beulah and which piece she can't wait to wear this summer.

How would you define your personal style?

A bit undone, but with just enough flare to pass for not scruffy!

Who has had the biggest influence on your style or career, and why?

Possibly my late aunt - she was so glamorous. All those Sunday lunches as a family, she would be there with gorgeous hair, great trousers, cashmere wraps and she just oozed charm and sophistication. I hosted a fashion show at school in her memory and to raise money for Trinity Hospice. We asked Philip Green to lend clothes (he did!) and it was all for Christina. That led to wanting to work in fashion. So, as much as we lost a wonderfully stylish woman, I think she made an impression any one would be proud to make on a child.

What makes you feel most empowered?

When I submit my copy for an article on time and then when it's not heavily edited. That is a truly wonderful feeling. I love writing. I'm lucky to be able to do it as part of my job.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Ooof - what a question. Personally, my children - and finding a husband who makes me laugh but keeps me grounded. Professionally - I'll never regret the work I put into getting a job at Vogue. It has been the most recognised part of my career and I really was the teenager slaving away doing boring summer jobs to bolster my CV - just to stand out.

Is there a current fashion trend you’re embracing for this season?

NO! I hate trends. I am sorry to say I have learnt that it's all a cyclical machine to get us to buy more! Trends come and go. Buy what you love and wear it with confidence.

Which causes are most important to you, and how do you champion them?

My new business, The FairGround, has formally partnered with Sharewear which is based in the North of England, to alleviate clothing poverty. It's a huge issue right on our own doorstep. I am an ambassador for SmartWorks and love that it combines interview training with styling sessions; total proof that clothes do make a difference to how we present ourselves and how we feel about ourselves.

What drew you to Beulah’s social mission, and why was this partnership important to you?

In 2025 every brand has charity work as an add-on. Beulah was one of the first to make it it’s core focus, from the get go. Working on this collection I saw first hand that the London team has to adapt their designs (and remain agile) to accommodate the working practices, strengths (and weaknesses) of working with female charitable collectives in this way. It's actually so refreshing to see the human side of design and collaboration shine through in what Beulah does.

Can you share the creative inspiration behind the collection—what were you hoping to create or celebrate?

Simple....a Neapolitan ice cream palette, with a hint of Juilia Roberts in Pretty Woman. Now there's a moodboard! I felt Beulah has handled occasionwear beautifully, but I want to wear it more often in the summer months especially. So the pieces (bar the pink) are much more dress up/ dress down and we've shown that in the imagery. I don't want to save anything for the best if I can help it. I don't go out enough!

What piece from the collection is your favourite, and why?

It's so hard - I think I'd get most wear out of the brown polka dot, in summer, autumn and winter with a big navy knit and navy boots. But the pink ensemble is what I've got my eye on for my TV work at Ascot.

Where do you see yourself wearing the collection this summer—any special plans or dream destinations?

I'm off to Henley and the blue dress will be ideal, but to be really honest I want pieces I could throw on for the school run with pumps or sandals, then hop off the train to London and do a work meeting in, and then head out for a drink with a friend. Even the pink top, I'd wear with wide leg white jeans, or frayed denim shorts. To sum it up, I said to Natasha, 'I want to create a collection that lets me wear Beulah as much as I can'... hopefully these pieces tick a variety of dress up/ dress down scenarios and tastes.
