Anti-Slavery Day 2019: We Fight For Freedom

ANTI SLAVERY DAY 2019

FOR FREEDOM

WILL YOU STAND FOR FREEDOM?

Modern slavery effects many millions of people worldwide.

Global estimates put the figure at more than 40 million.

One in four victims are children and 70 percent are women and girls.

At Beulah, we develop long-term partnerships with our producers in order

to promote good working conditions and build transparency within our supply chain. Many

of our partners are  charities who provide sustainable employment to women formerly trapped

or vulnerable to the sex trade. The women are taught to become masters of artisan textile skills,

providing them with a fairly paid and sustainable livelihood and allowing them to live in

freedom and with independence.

In support of Anti-Slavery Day 2019, Beulah is launching a For Freedom T-Shirt to support the

anti-trafficking charity Justice and Care. Fighting slavery in the UK, Europe and Asia, Justice and Care work

to protect the most vulnerable individuals and communities, partnering with police to rescue victims,

bring those responsible to justice, restore lives and spark systemic change.

The T-Shirts are available to purchase online and in-store with 100% of proceeds going to Justice and Care.

Each t-shirt will provide essential supplies for a UK victim.

For Freedom T-Shirt

With an ethical and fully traceable supply chain the t-shirts are made from a blend of organic cotton and sustainable wood fibres, using an eco-responsible production process that meets high environmental standards. The embroidery and garment finishing processes will provide a fair wage to migrant working women in one of London’s poorest boroughs.Thank you for helping us to continue to shine a light on modern day slavery and support vulnerable women around the world.Join us in our fight for freedom.
