Sophie Stanbury – Day Two #myweekinbeulah

Today Sophie tells us more about her aspirations and interior design business

What are your aspirations?

My aspirations are to be a successful interior decorator, a great mother, a true friend and to enjoy everything I put my mind to.

When did you start your interior design business?
I started my design business shortly after Harry, my first child was born as I wanted to work from home and balance being a mother with working which was about 5 years ago.
Day Two: Sophie wears the ‘Sabitri’ Dress Available in Red Roses and Navy.

How did you get into Interior design?
I have always been passionate about design and after working as Designer Relations for Swarovski and travelling to all the design fairs I decided it was time to do something for myself and something which I was excited about so I embarked on a course at the Inchbald School of Design to give me the professional training I needed to develop my passion into a career.

How would you describe your home interior/environment?
I have a very neutral colour palate at home, and use very hard wearing and practical fabrics as I have two young boys who love to get messy!  I love greys, nudes, oatmeal, taupe and then inject a little bit of colour through artwork, we have a gorgeous Natasha Law hanging as you arrive which is bold and bright and full of energy.  I would love to buy a few more!  I like everything to be elegant and tidy so clever storage is also key.   My home is super busy, there is always something going on, whether it be drawing up plans for a new project I have taken on or finger painting in the garden there is never a dull moment but that’s the way I like it.
Until tomorrow x
